Episode – #07 – It’s like Fear Factor, but with Nut Cheese – Special Guests: Comika Hartford and Liz Anderson

Our special guests this episode are filmmakers, Comika Hartford and Liz Anderson. Over mimosas we try our best to analyze vegan nut cheese, compete in a Rod Serling impersonation competition and occasionally discuss their upcoming horror series, The Grey Area!

Episode #06 – Ellen Westberg Visits us for Some Reason

Ellen Westberg, writer, web series producer and the straight half of the Gay Asian Straight Caucasian Alliance (known for their famous one joke stand-up act) stopped by the studio to tell us a few scandalous stories and to of course drink a few pops!

Episode #05 – The Uppity Asian and Irene Tu

Local Bay Area queer comedians and show producers, Irene Tu and Ash Fisher talk to us about their rise in the comedy world. We touch on why they chose to give their popular queer comedy show a controversial name,  how they deal with hecklers and when they first realized they wanted to be comedians.

Episode #04 – Cheryl’s Survivor Story and the Little Flower of Jesus

Cheryl worked at Loomis for several years driving an armored vehicle. She conducted daily pick-up’s and deliveries to various banks, ATMS and businesses across the Bay Area. On the morning of August 24th, 2011 during a stop at Wells Fargo in Pinole, CA, Cheryl was jumped by two men attempting to rob the bank.

Episode #03 – Cynical Optimist in Search of Agency

A few weeks ago we interviewed a friend and gave her an alias – Susan. She dropped in to chat with us about her trials and tribulations with online dating, a struggle that so many of us can understand.

Episode #02 – Hollywood Video Made Me Gay & T Gives a Warning to All the Straighties

In this episode I talk about how Hollywood Video helped me realize I was gay. Therese tells us the story of how she came out to her mom at the tender age of five and how that was immediately shut down.

Episode #01 – This is Varsity Level

It’s our very first episode and we’re talking to Therese and Gwen about their relationship – all the way back from their initial OkCupid messages to their rapidly approaching pre-wedding honeymoon plans and then onward to the actual big day in April. There might also be an Oakland rat mixed up in this somewhere!
